I was maybe 23 when I moved back to Minnesota, got and apartment in Uptown and shopped the “old” Wedge coop. I stumbled upon a juice bar one afternoon, slammed a wheat grass shot (tried to act casual about the unbelievably raw taste attacking my buds) and looked at a t-shirt with the logo, “Walk in Balance on Mother Earth.”
It made sense to me. To live in harmony with the earth and strive for a sustainable life…that made good sense. I bought the shirt and wore it until it was all stainy and went well beyond its freshness date. Then I wore it some more and it became a paint shirt. I loved that shirt, because of the message and how it seemed so right. Eat, drink, shop, talk, sleep, work, give, pray, take and love in balance with all who inhabit Ma Earth.
