Come learn and share in ideas for green school and home projects, yoga, organics composting, exercise, quiet alone time, No Plastics Pledge, shopping local, fair and organic, zero-waste lunches, earth-friendly products, toys and clothes, green fund raisers, Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, activities and project ideas and offerings and more!

We want to know what your doing green! We want to share what we are doing that is fun, easy and green!

Ideas for Best Practices in green spaces and places

Custodians do not turn on all of the lights in the am
Installation of light room sensors
Complete computer shut down when not in use
Form a Green Team
Double sided-Second chance paper
No Idling
Walk to school, work, shop once a month
Zero-waste lunches
No plastics pledge
Green low-waste carnivals, fundraiser’s, parties or events
badges with titles of This Week’s Class Energy Captain (responsibility for the week printed on reverse like make sure lights are off, if enough bright sun-turn off room lights)
Rain Gardens
Rain barrels and water captured for the many house plants for fresh oxygenation
Outdoor meeting green space
Organics recycling
Discontinue bottled water
Compostable cups and sporks
