What will the EcoMoms do next? This is what we are up to at the next party. Bring EcoKids and EcoFriends. Here is a sneak peak of the EcoMom Alliance founder, Kimberly Danek Pinkson, and friends making a backyard compost. Bring materials, and we will make one together and learn about other compost options while seeing them in action; like vermicultures, kitchen scraps, organic composting for vegetable and herb gardens.

Family friendly hike of Bredesen’s interior. Group leaves from EcoMoms house at 9:15.

Compost Party! 10:30-12:00.

This action step greatly benefits the earth by reducing your contribution of green waste to landfills and incinerators. Compost is dubbed “gardener’s gold” because of the rich, fertile, planting soil it produces.

Up Next…Wednesday, June 11 at 7:00pm. Book discussion of the Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv and the topic of “nature deficit disorder.” At an EcoMoms house.

Hey there,

Delurking to say how much I enjoy “keeping tabs” on what you’re doing. 🙂 I live in the north metro, so joining you is not really feasible for me, but it sounds like you’ve got some really great stuff going on in your neck of the woods! Keep up the great work!
