I was not sure where to respond to the article I read in the StarTrib about EcoMoms in Edina so I picked here! As a member of the Edina community,I was encouraged by the frankness of your comment, “If Edina is so proud of being innovative and progressive, they need to get with it.” My son is a junior at EHS and I have seen too much excess living in this community to feel comfortable with the direction it is heading. Thank you for your time and effort in educating and raising your children to believe in a different way to live. It is not an easy thing to do in this community.

Dear Julie,
The Lakeville Friends of the Environment are trying to get Diane the lady who wrote the book “the big Green purse” to come to Lakeville to speak.
Her message is about how much power women have. If we can get her it seems like it would be a good opportunity to start some ecomoms chapters South of the Minnesota River.
Could you give me your e-mail address and phone number so we can talk?

We are having a Conservation Expo, and we’re “going green” this year, we need organizations like yours present, please contact me for more information. I’m located in Wadena, MN. Thanks for the inspiration!

Where do I find out about chapter meetings and joining? Also, my children go to a fabulous school that I think fits into the ecomom philosophy. I’d love to talk to someone about it to see if a link to the school website would be appropriate under the “Sustain Your Planet” link list.

I want the ecomoms help in changing the way Edina recycles. Are you working on this one?
